Spending time for ourselves is not a selfish act—in fact, it’s the key to a happier and healthier life. Amid our busy schedules, we must carve out moments just for us, to focus on our well-being. Activities like exercising, praying, writing, reading, or cooking our favorite meals may seem like hobbies, but they are so much more. They gradually build our self-confidence and self-esteem. Even small achievements—such as exercising for 15 minutes, writing a blog post, reading a page from a beloved book, or preparing and savoring a favorite dish—send a powerful message to our brain: We can accomplish anything we set our minds to. Including such activities in our daily routine creates a path toward a brighter, healthier tomorrow. Encourage those around you to join in—perhaps take a 15-minute walk with a friend.
